Blue Drawing Performance

In July 2024, Lucy Algar worked with dancers Yenching Lin, Martha Tribe and Sam Furney over two days of drawing and movement research and development in the theatre at Wimbledon College of Arts, UAL.

They were joined by Simon Powell, who provided technical support and contributed a range of projection ideas. Although unable to attend in person, Kirill Burlov participated remotely by sharing a film of his dancing, which the group used as a starting point for response and exploration.

The sessions developed into two days of multi-layered and highly dynamic experimentation. Eloise Frey documented the process across both days and produced the resulting film.
